PURPOSE:To produce the title ointment by blending a pyrethroid based, organophosphorus based or carbamate based insecticidal ingredient with an insect-proofing ingredient such as 'DEET(R)', synergist and solid oil and fat, mineral fine powder or diatomaceous earth. CONSTITUTION:0.1-1 pts.wt. mixture consisting of natural or synthetic insecticidal ingredient, insect-proofing ingredient and synergist is blended with 20-65 pts.wt. solid oil and fat (e.g. purified lanolin, tallow or palm oil), 20-50 pts.wt. liquid oil and fat (e.g. olive oil or castor oil) and 5-15 pts.wt. mineral fine powder (e.g. white carbon, talk or clay) or diatomaceous earth and the blend is melted at 60 deg.C to give thick malt syrup form and then cooled to produce the title ointment. When used, the ointment is attached to the objective article by finger, brush, roller, etc. The ointment is advantageous from aspects of elimination or reduction of labor and economical efficiency because the ointment is not eliminated from the objective article for a long time and nearly free from fear of environmental pollution. |
