PURPOSE:To form a frictional electrostatic charging blade suitable for development by incorporating an electrostatic charge decreasable org. silicon compd., more particularly, aminosilane, which decreases the charge quantity of electrically insulating silicone rubber used for a frictional charging member into said silicone rubber. CONSTITUTION:The charge quantity decreasing agent to be incorporated into the electrically insulating silicone rubber layer used for the surface of the plate- shaped charging member is an org. silicone compd. and is exemplified by aminosilane, etc. The charge quantity of the rubber can be adequately and effectively decreased when such compd. is incorporated at an adequate ratio into the electrically insulating silicone rubber. The compounding ratio is usually selected from the range of 0.05-5pts.wt. for each 100pts.wt. silicone rubber. |
