PURPOSE:To manufacture efficiently H-beams of various sizes by combining the turning of a shifting frame and the vertical movement of a rolling reduction device for freely setting the arranging angle of a skew roll. CONSTITUTION:Skew rolls 15, 15A, 16, 16A are adjusted to optional angles by rolling reduction devices 20, 20A incorporated in rolling stands 19. Further, roll gaps and roll angles are adjusted by moving shifting frames 40 mounted on the roll stands 19 in the axial directions of skew rolls 15, 15A, 16, 16A with respect to a sole plate 55. The roll axes of skew rolls 15, 15A, 16, 16A are slanted in the rolling and vertical directions respectively, by combining the vertical movements of the devices 20 and the turnings of the frames 40, to adjust freely the arranging angles of the rolls 15,.... In this way, shapes having flanges of various sizes are efficiently manufactured. |
