SIMULTANEOUS TELECASTING SIGNAL TRANSMITTER

PURPOSE:To reduce the interference with the current telecast by providing a video carrier at the same frequency of that used for the currently executed system in a channel. CONSTITUTION:A video carrier is set at 1.25MHz higher than the lowest limit of the 6-MHz band and a vestigial side-band modulating system, equalizing filter, and orthogonal modulating system are combined. As a result, high- definition pictures can be transmitted in the frequency band assigned to the current telecast and can be received with exclusively used TV receivers and, at the same time telecast videos can be received with the existing television receivers without trouble.
