Piezoelectric resonator comprising a piezoelectric plate (11), on one face of which a recess (12) is formed by an etching process so as to obtain a thick annular part surrounding a thin vibration part (18). Over the whole surface of one of the faces bearing the said recess, a total-coverage electrode (14) is formed by a method of vaporisation without a mask, a partial electrode (16) is formed on the opposite face corresponding to the said vibration part and a conducting line of narrow width extends from the said partial electrode to the periphery of the said piezoelectric plate. With this embodiment, an electrical connection is provided, going from the total-coverage electrode to a stepped part formed on the periphery of the said recess. <IMAGE>
