PURPOSE:To suppress pulsation of instantaneous power by providing means for adding a higher harmonic component having appropriate order, amplitude and phase to an output current command value from an inverter thereby superposing a higher harmonic component on the output current. CONSTITUTION:A current control circuit 4 calculates an output voltage command e* for nulifying the current difference ier. A PWM control circuit 5 converts the output voltage command e* into a pulse signal through pulse width modulation thus controlling an inverter 6. Euen if an output current command i* it is sinusoidal, actual output current (i) of the inverter 6 contains higher harmonics having frequencies multiple times as high as the carrier frequency. Consequently, the instantaneous power also contains higher harmonics resulting in pulsation of the instantaneous power. An adder 2 adds a higher harmonic current command ih* fed from a higher harmonic current command generator 1 to a basic wave current command if*. Consequently, amplitude and phase of each higher harmonic component 10 one output current vary to cause variation in the anplitude an phase of the higher harmonic component of the instantaneous power. |
