A control unit is provided for five microservos which regulate wires. Runners are used, and small pieces of metal are assembled together on the inner edge of the wires to the servo, whilst the outer edge has a support surface preventing the runners tipping when the wires on the outside commence to tighten. Such wires have to be of a sprung type. - Alternative formats involve the use of an electrically controlled hydraulic pump of micro-type instead of the servos, and hydraulic pistons instead of the runners. Also air pumps and pistons can be used instead of those hydraulic. Runners of electro-magnetic type can be used, with a current being transmitted through a wire coil to cause a small magnetic piston to move. A further basic version involves an air compressor which pumps air into the complete lock, pressing upwards a lower pin, allowing the lock to be unlocked. (Provisional basic advised week 8731) |
