Windscreen wash-wipe system with pump control memory - adjusts amt. of liq.applied as function of duration of driver's latest operation of washswitch

The liq. is sprayed (W) on to the windscreen (F) from a reservoir (V) by means of a pump (P) driven by a controller (R) which starts the wiper motor (M) when the wipe switch (X) is closed (I). Operation (A) of the wash switch (Y) loads the memory (S) of the controller (R) with a value approximately correlated with the duration of this operation. In subsequent washes the amt. of liq. pumped is approximately correlated with the value stored in the memory (S). USE/ADVANTAGE - For repeated intermittant wash and wipe action. The driver can easily vary quantity of liq. supplied esp. in dense traffic over damp and dirty roads.
