The invention concerns phenylethanolamines of the general formula (I) in which R1 and R2 are as defined in claim 1, as well as their enantiomers and acid addition salts. These compounds possess useful pharmacological properties: in addition to analgesic, antiphlogistic, broncholytic, uterus spasmolytic, lipolytic and antispastic action on the diagonal muscular system, they have a beta 2-mimetic and/or beta 1-blocking action. The invention also concerns the use of these compounds as medication and as performance promoters, and a method of preparing them.
