PURPOSE:To reproduce information with high reliability by dispersing reflected light from a recording medium by a wavelength dispersing element and receiving dispersed light by an array-state sensor. CONSTITUTION:This device is provided with the the wavelength dispersing element 9 for dispersing the wavelength of the reflected light or transmitted light from the medium 1 and the array-state sensor 39 which is opposed to the dispersion direction of the element 9, detects the spectrum of the light dispersed by the element 9 and detects the wavelength corresponding to recorded information. Therefore, even when the wavelength of a luminous flux for reproducing fluctuates and is unstable or non-linear waviness occurs or fluctuation such as shifting in parallel is caused, the wavelength on the sensor 39 is not fluctuated and a signal without jitter is obtained. Thus, high SNR and high multilevel are obtained and the information is reproduced with the high reliability regardless of the fluctuation of the wavelength of the luminous flux for reproducing. |
