<p>PURPOSE:To selectively recover a certain component from a raw gas contg. plural components by providing plural adsorption towers each packed with an adsorbent for selectively adsorbing a certain component from the raw gas contg. plural components. CONSTITUTION:The raw gas is passed through an adsorption tower 21 from a supply pipeline 27 by the suction force of a suction pump 40 (product gas compressor), hence nitrogen is adsorbed in the tower, and the product gas consisting essentially of oxygen is sent to the suction pump through pipelines 39a and 39 (adsorption). The adsorption tower 22 having adsorbed nitrogen is simultaneously depressurized by a vacuum pump 34, and the adsorbed nitrogen-enriched gas is sent to a tank, etc., through a second stop valve 31 and pipelines 33b and 33 or discharged into the atmosphere (regeneration). A part of the product gas is returned to the adsorption tower 23 from a discharge pipeline 39 through a pressure control valve 42, branch pipeline 43c and fourth stop valve 47, hence the residual gaseous nitrogen is forced to the one end side of the tower, the residual nitrogen is not mixed into the product gas in the adsorption stage, and the adsorption zone is not disturbed.</p> |
