PURPOSE:To improve air circulation inside a process cartridge, by forming a ventilating path oppositely communicating the inside of the cartridge and a picture forming device main body side when the cartridge is mounted on the picture forming device main body at the process cartridge side and picture forming device main body side. CONSTITUTION:Dust removing external air introduced into the space of an optical division by the action of an external air suction fan 45 is discharged to the outside from a louver aperture 46 after cooling a lighting system. Moreover, a part of the external air introduced into the space of the optical division enters into a duct 38 through the aperture 391 of a light shielding stay 39 and further enters into an electrifier 12 through apertures 371, 361, and 121 successively. The air which enters into the electrifier 12 flows into the hollow section of a cartridge A as a jet through the space (b) between the discharging aperture of the electrifier 12 and a photosensitive drum 11 on the upstream side of the rotational direction of the drum. Furthermore, the air flows out of the cartridge A through the space (a) between the discharging aperture and photosensitive drum 11 on the downstream side of the rotational direction. on the other hand, the air inside the cartridge A is discharged to the outside from the device through apertures 363 and 373, duct 41, and lower aperture 42 by the action of an exhaust fan 44. |
