PURPOSE:To accelerate heat transfer so as to improve cooling effect by enclosing primary coolant in the cavities in the inside of a piston crown whereby flowing coolant through heat exchangers provided in the cavities. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of circular cavities 5 is formed concentrically in the back of a top plate 1a of a piston crown 1 therein primary coolant 7 is enclosed upto nearly half the space volume. Furthermore, heat exchangers 6a-6c in a form of a coil winding are housed in the cavities 5. And an inlet port end of the heat exchanges is connected with the inlet port passage 3 of a piston rod 2, and the outlet port end is also connected with the outlet port passage 4. Then secondary coolant such as lubricant and the like is allowed to flow through the heat exchanges. Owing to this constitution, the shaking effect to primary coolant is improved, furthermore, the cooling effect is also improved because heat transfer is accomplished accompanied with the change in phase of primary coolant. |
