PURPOSE:To easily obtain a graphite electrode for an electrode material of a secondary battery to provide excellent properties of a battery by using a specified kind of a polymer compound film and graphitizing the film at >=2000 deg.C. CONSTITUTION:A polymer film comprised of at least one of polyoxadiazoles, polybenzothiazoles, polybenzobisthiazoles, polybenzoxazoles, polybenzobisoxazoles, polyimides,polyamides, polyphenylenebenzoimidazoles, polyphenylenebonzoimidazoles, polythiazoles, and polyparaphenylenevinylenes is graphitized by firing at temperature at lowest 2000 deg.C. A secondary battery having the graphite electrode 2 as an anode and a lithium electrode 3 as a cathode is prepared. Consequently, lithium ion in the cathode is intercalated (doped) in the interlayers of the graphite anode easily to form interlayer compounds at the time of electric discharging and the lithium ion intercalated in the interlayers of the graphite is released (undoped) easily at the time of electric charging. |
