A method of improving the operation of data processing systems involves improving the data input by expanding the data entry device by one dimension. This is achieved by introducing rotation of the data entry device. The third dimension is derived from the positional mutual variation of two sensors relative to a comparison surface. USE/ADVANTAGE - Three data entry dimensions instead of the conventional two significantly increases convenience of data entry for user of computer systems, e.g. of CAD order btp systems.
