Frequency stabilisation of semiconductor laser - using external ring resonator driven as brillouin laser to derive regulating signal from requency difference between oscillations

A frequency stabilisation is achieved for a semiconductor laser (LD) with an attached ring resonator (RR) operated as a Brillouin ring laser in which two longitudinal Brillouin ring laser oscillations are produced. A frequency difference between the two oscillations produces a control signal such that the frequency difference remains constant. USE - Emission frequency of semiconductor laser is stabilised to target value with help of phase modulators.
