Hollow metal sections, for making frames for doors or windows are bent to the required radius by means of a machine. The machine has a forming disc (1) with a radius corresponding to that required for the metal section (9). - The forming disc (1) is co-axially mounted on a toothed wheel (2). Two arms (4) are pivoted about the axis (3) of the disc and toothed wheel, and each arm carries a pinion (7), at its outer end, which meshes with the toothed wheel. A motor (8), mounted on the arm drives the pinion and causes the arm to swing about the axis (3) so that a roller, mounted on the arm, presses the metal section (9) against the forming disc.
