The pipe conveyor has a belt (5) pre-tensioned at least in two edge sections in a transverse direction. The two edge sections are contained by the trough-shaped curvature of the middle part. The roller units (3) are open at the top. A dispenser (8) moves on a section along the belt (5) and has a device (12) which splays out the edge sections (4). USE/ADVANTAGE - The pipe conveyor is made flexible along the two edges.
