<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the dust collecting filter low in flow resistance and high in dust collection efficiency by forming the filter from a ceramic having spontaneous polarization such as a piezoelectric ceramic and a pyroelectric material. CONSTITUTION:The air filter 3 to be arranged in the air cleaner, smoke sucker, cooler, hot air-type heater, etc., is formed from a material having spontaneous polarization such as a piezoelectric ceramic (e.g. barium titanate) and a pyroelectric material (e.g. lithium tantalate). The air filter 3 is formed by putting the coarse grains of the piezoelectric ceramic or pyroelectric material into an air- permeable bag, applying the powder or grains of the piezoelectric ceramic or pyroelectric material on an air-permeable thin film, binding the coarse grains of the piezo-electric ceramic or pyroelectric material with an adhesive into the air-permeable porous sheet or calcining the piezoelectric ceramic or pyroelectric material into an air-permeable porous sheet. Consequently, a dust collecting filter low in flow resistance and high in dust collection efficiency is obtained.</p> |
