PURPOSE:To prevent discharge abnormalities resulting from shortage of the degree of bonding strength by maintaining a predetermined relationship among the height of stack of power elements, the height of the constitution of a housing member, the plate thickness of a negative electrode can and that of a positive electrode can. CONSTITUTION:When the height of a stack of power elements consisting of a negative electrode 5, a positive electrode 4, a separator 6 and a positive electrode ring 7 is H1, the height of the constitution of a housing member consisting of a negative electrode can 1, a positive electrode can 2 and a gasket 3 is H2 and the plate thickness of each can 1,2 is t1, t2, 0<=[(H1+t1+t2)-H2X100<=60 whereby a highly reliable flat battery in which discharge abnormality does not occur can be obtained. |
