PURPOSE:To stably bring a magnetic head into contact with a magnetic disk regardless of the position in the radial direction by fitting the magnetic head to the carriage titedly in the radial direction of the magnetic disk so as to make the tilt angle of the magnetic head variable in response to the position in the radial direction. CONSTITUTION:When the magnetic head 21 is placed at the peripheral side of the disk 11 relatively, the 1st spring 54 produces a larger elastic force more than that of the 2nd spring 57, the 1st head support 52 is driven counter clockwise around a support shaft 53 to press an upper outer side face 52a of the support 52 is abutted on the upper ridge of a hole 51. The magnetic head 21 is tilted similarly and placed at the side of a retaining face 33 in a recess 32 to press the magnetic disk 11 upward. The magnetic disk 11 is depressed from the downward direction, resulting that the outer part is deformed to be projected most. The part of the magnetic disk 11 depressed by the magnetic head 21 and the upper face of the magnetic head 21 are abutted without any gap.
