PURPOSE:To prevent not only the damage to a flange companion but also the generation of noise and heat from a coupling part, by providing a drive shaft positively and reversely rotating an automatic coupling joint with a motor. CONSTITUTION:When the positioning of a carrier differential A is finished, a casing D is clamped certainly. Next, a drive shaft 1 is rotated at a low speed and a drive pawl 8 is rotated at a low speed through first and second rising/ falling stands 2, 5 and, at the same time, a shift fork 10 is revolved upwardly at a low speed. Whereupon, the rising/falling stand 2 begins to rise while rotated at a low speed by the elastic force of a balance spring 3 with the upward revolution of the fork 10 and, with this operation, the pawl 8 fixed to the rising/falling stand 5 also rises while rotating at a low speed. By this rising operation, the leading end of the pawl 8 is elastically contacted with the inner periphery of a flange companion C and subsequently engaged with the recessed part E provided to the inner periphery of the companion C by the revolving motion of the pawl 8 and the elastic force of a coupling spring 6. |
