PURPOSE:To produce the titled product at a low cost, suppressing the variation of product quality with time, by separately dissolving a mixture of an ultra-high- molecular weight polymer and a solvent with plural extruders, joining the solutions and kneading and extruding the mixture. CONSTITUTION:A mixture of an ultra-high-molecular weight solid polymer having a viscosity-average molecular weight of >=500,000 and an organic compound capable of dissolving said polymer (e.g. paraffin for polyolefin) is separately supplied to plural screw extruders. The obtained plural extrudates are joined, introduced into an extruder or a static mixer and formed to a fiber or film under kneading. The polymer concentration of the mixture is preferably 10-55wt%.
