PURPOSE:To provide the subject material represented by a specific composition formula, having tetragonal crystal lattices and a prescribed lattice constant and permitting to widely control the electric properties thereof. CONSTITUTION:The oxides of Pr, Sr, Cu and at least one of the oxides of Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb, Lu and Y are mixed with each other in a prescribed wt. ratio, press-molded, calcined in the atmosphere and subsequently slowly cooled to prepare the following metal oxide superconductor material. The metal oxidized superconductor has a composition of the formula (Ln is Tb, Dy; 0<=x<=0.8; 0.36<=y<=0.40), the formula (Ln is Ho; 0<=x<=0.7; 0.36<=y<=0.40), the formula (Ln is Gd, Er, Y; 0<=x<=0.6; 0.36<=y<=0.40), the formula (Ln is Tm, Yb; 0<=x<=0.5; 0.36<=y<=0.40) or the formula (Ln is Lu; 0<=x<=0.4; 0.36<=y<=4.0), has tetragonal crystal lattices, a lattice constant (a) of 3.81 to 3.87 Angstrom and a lattice constant of 12.40 to 12.55 Angstrom . |
