PURPOSE:To increase the life of roll by specifying the height of the recessed and projection part on the surface of roll for cold rolling where is roughened by radiating a laser beam and occupancy area ratio to projecting part. CONSTITUTION:A working roll for cold rolling on which roughening work is applied by radiating the high-energy density laser beam on the surface is constituted so that the occupancy area ratio of these projecting parts at the height of >= 5 mum from the flat surface of roll where isn't irradiated with the laser beam is 7 - 30% in the recessed and projection part of which its surface roughness is constituted. In this way, the elongation of the life of roll for cold rolling excellent in the maintainability of roughness and productivity can be improved. |
