PURPOSE:To obtain a binder composition raising fluidity of molding ceramics powder, retaining shape of molded article after molding and demolding, readily de-fatting molded articles, by incorporating organic solvent and a metal salt of fatty acid of monosaccharide as components into the composition. CONSTITUTION:A binder composition which is mixed with ceramics powder, cast into a mold, solidified and retains shape of molded article contains an organic solvent and a metal salt of fatty acid of monosaccharide derivative as components. When the composition is blended with ceramics powder under heating at >=room temperature into a slurried state, cast into a mold and maintained at <=room temperature, the ceramics slurry is solidified and can be molded into a shape or molded article in a short time. Consequently, molded articles solidified in a shorter time than conventional slip casting method can be formed. Since the slurry has excellent fluidity, the slurry does not require high pressure like injection molding and occurrence of defects caused by deficiency of fluidity is suppressed. |
