PURPOSE:To permit to discharge drain perfectly under contriving an energy- saving by a method wherein the drain can be discharged naturally by the effect of siphon and a pump is used temporarily and auxiliary only to produce siphoning condition when the condition of the siphon has collapsed. CONSTITUTION:One end of a drain discharging pipe 3, discharging the drain out of a drain pan 2 provided below an evaporator 1, is opened at a palce 3a in the drain pan 2 and the other end thereof is opened at a palce 3b lower than the position of said opening 3a while a solenoid opening and closing device A and the pump P are provided in a drain discharging pipe 3 at a position lower than the position of the opening 3a in the drain pan 2. When the water level in the drain pan 2 is at a high position (h1), the solenoid opening and closing device A is opened to drive the pump P and discharge the drain together with air and when the water level has arrived at a middle position (h2), the pump is stopped to discharge the drain by the effect of siphon but the solenoid opening and closing device A is colsed to stop the discharging of the drain when the water level has arrived at a low position (h3). |
