<p>PURPOSE:To treat a dissolved malodorous gas and contained organic components simultaneously by blowing a malodorous gas to a reaction liquid in an aeration zone to dissolve the gas and at the same time circulating the liquid in a tank by the rising force of the bubbles of the malodorous gas. CONSTITUTION:Owing to the rising force of the bubbles of a malodorous gas, upward flow of a reaction liquid is caused in an aeration zone 2 and the upward flow flows down as a downward flow to a bacteria-fixed zone 1 and thus the reaction liquid is supplied to the zone 1. In this way, circulation of the reaction liquid is produced as the arrow A shows. Since the bacteria-fixed zone 1 is composed of a plurality of layered honeycomb structural plates as described above, pressure loss in the zone 1 hardly occurs and circulation of the liquid is carried out smoothly. A malodorous gas dissolved in the circulating reaction liquid and organic components contained in the liquid are treated efficiently in aerobic condition by the activated sludge bacteria adhering to and fixed at high density on the surfaces of the honeycomb structural plates.</p> |
