PURPOSE:To attain tape protection while a front cover is opened unexpectedly through automatic closing by always giving torque in the closing direction to the front cover independently of the open angle to simplify the front cover switching operation mechanism of the deck side. CONSTITUTION:A pin 13 projected to the position biased from a rotary shaft 7 at the side wall piece 5 of the front cover 4 is pressed by a tip ridge 11a of a slider 11 on the outer face of the side wall 6. Thus, the slider 11 is assembled compactly and simply by utilizing the dead space on the outer face of the side wall 6 effectively. Even if the front cover 4 is opened unexpectedly and the cover is closed automatically, the tape is protected sufficiently.
