PURPOSE:To reduce applied voltage to a flash discharge tube, by providing a ventilating means for cooling the flash discharge tube by sending air toward a cathode side from an anode side of the flash discharge tube. CONSTITUTION:Air discharged from an air blower 20 is exhausted to the outside of a device in order through a blast duct 19, a blast inlet 18, a space 15a, a hole 25, a gap 26, a part except the space 15a and 15b in a space 15, a hole 28 or a gap 29, the space 15b, an exhaust port 22 and an exhaust duct 23, as indicated with an arrow. Accordingly, a flash discharge tube 16 is cooled by an air flow running to a cathode 21 side from an anode 17 side of said discharge tube, therefore, it is possible to suppress rise of the lowest lighting voltage of the flash discharge tube 16 in case of continuous lighting, a light emission error is prevented, and also the voltage applied to the flash discharge tube 16 can be reduced. |
