The apparatus adjusts the current and power factor during a load characteristic test. The apparatus includes: a phase angle adjusting means (VR1,C1) for adjusting the phase angle of the output power of a power source (10); a power factor controlling and amplifying means (A,R1,R2) for differential-amplifying the output power of the power source (10) and for controlling the power factor of the same output; a voltage varying means (VR2) for varying the voltage after the adjustment of the power factor; a current controlling and amplifying means (A2,R3,R4,R5, (2-C4) for adjusting and amplifying the load current; and an output voltage limiting means (D1,D2) for limiting the variation range of the output current of the current controlling and amplifying means to a certain value.
