D-CHANNEL PACKET PROCESSOR FOR ISDN EXCHANGE

PURPOSE:To improve the line accommodation efficiency in one exchange by providing an identifier as a header for allowing a packet multiplexer circuit to manage plural terminal equipments by a Dchannel packet control circuit in a subscriber circuit. CONSTITUTION:A D-channel packet control circuit 12 in a subscriber circuit (LC) 10a receives a call request signal and a packet layer 3 control circuit 14 in a packet processing unit 16 gives an identifier H as a header to a head of the call request signal so that multiplex management of the D-channel processing unit 16 is attained by plural terminal equipments. The packet layer 3 control circuit 14 notices the reception of the call request signal to a call processing control circuit 6 after the reception of the call request signal to allocate a virtual packet multiplexer circuit number to control the D-channel packet of a subscriber terminal equipment (TE) 1b, specifies one packet multiplexer circuit 13, and a link establishing request signal S4 is sent to the subscriber terminal equipment (TE) 1b.
