摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a simple, low-cost device by shifting one of a light source, a light-passage forming means, and a light receiving means so that rays of light are always received at a predetermined position of the light receiving means, and also connecting to the light receiving means and a light adjusting means a shift controlling means for controlling the adjusting means according to the amount of the shift. CONSTITUTION:A shift controlling means 32 comprises a differential amplifier 27, a motor 28, a gear 29, a rope 30 and a potentiometer 31. A ray of light 7 is reflected by a reflecting mirror 25 and is refracted again by the interface between fuel 3 and a prism 22 and incident on a light receiving means 24. At the light receiving means 24 a current proportional to the amount of light received at each photodiode is made to flow through each photodiode and is fed to the differential amplifier 27. The differential amplifier 27 amplifies the difference in current from each photodiode and outputs it as a signal to the motor 28. The motor 28 has its light source 5 shifted in its cross direction. Simultaneously, the sliding element of the potentiometer 31 is slid proportionately to the amount by which the motor 28 is rotated, so as to automatically control an actuator provided to a hydraulic pressure regulator or a fuel injection valve, etc.
