PURPOSE:To enhance adhesion between an ink layer and a base, by a method wherein an intermediate adhesive layer consisting of a mixture of a polyester resin and a polyamide resin and an ink layer are sequentially laminated on a base to produce an ink sheet for thermal transfer recording. CONSTITUTION:A polyester resin and a polyamide resin in a weight ratio of 2:1 are dissolved in a mixture of toluene and isopropyl alcohol, and the resultant solution is applied to the base 1 consisting of a condenser paper having a thickness of 8mum, in a coating thickness of 2mum, to provide the intermediate adhesive layer 2. Then, 2 pts.wt. of a fatty acid amide (as a low melting point material), 1pts.wt. of paraffin wax, 1 pts.wt. of a dye and 1pts.wt. of carbon black are dispersed in 30pts.wt. of acetone, the resultant dispersed liquid is applied to the adhesive layer 2 in a thickness of 20mum by a bar coater, is dried, and is rapidly cooled at 20 deg.C to provide the ink layer 3, thereby obtaining the ink sheet 4 for thermal transfer recording. |
