The partially deposited thermal transfer film is produced by (a) treating the surface of a polyester film with a releasing material, gravure-printing the treated film, and drying it at 90-120 deg.C, (b) partially depositing the surface of the film with an aluminium or a chromiun under the vacuum condition at 250 deg.C, (c) cleaning the non-deposited part with an alcohol, and (d) coating the inside of the deposited film with an adhesive.
