The installation comprises a support (22) intended to heat a container (2) containing the product to be treated, and a framework (3) in which at least one microwave generator (4) is arranged, which microwave generator is associated with a waveguide emerging in a cavity (5a) formed at one of the ends of the framework (3). The cavity (5a) is intended to be arranged opposite the orifice of the container (2) so as to form, with the inside thereof, an active region for melting the product.
