The invention concerns a combination mast for carrying at least two different pieces of equipment, for example a TV aerial and a solar cell panel or a conventional TV aerial and a parabolic aerial. The mast is primarily intended for use in caravans, campers and the like. A mast according to the invention has advantages concerning simplicity of setting and aligning the various pieces of equipment and aerials and also concerning installation which due to the reduced need to make holes thereby reduces the risk of leaks. A mast according to the invention comprises three concentric tubes placed one inside the other. The outer of these is fixed permanently while the two inner longer tubes are movable so that they can be extended in length and also turned around their longitudinal axis. On the upper part of the outer tube there is a principally horizontal arm. On this there is a movable fixing to support a piece of equipment in such a way that it can pivot, which is also attached to the middle tube in such a way that it can pivot. If the equipment consists, for example, of a parabolic aerial or a solar cell panel, this can be turned through 360 degrees around the axis of the tube and can also be set at a suitable inclination to the vertical. Leads and cables from the equipment mounted on the mast are taken through the mast in the space between the tubes. <IMAGE> |
