The invention relates to an applying means for rolls of for example roofing-felt. The roll (100) bearing against the underlying surface is intended to be unrolled by means of frictional drive rolls (29) of a propelling unit (20) in contact with the peripheral surface of the roll. The propelling unit (20) is pivotably arranged at one end of a lever mechanism (50) mounted at the frame (12, 12) of the device, the other end of said mechanism supporting the support wheels (40, 40) of the device so that the weight of the device is transferred via the support wheels to the contact force of the drive means (29) acting against the roll (100). |
