PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetic fluid which can be dispersed in a stable manner even when a high saturation magnetized material is used by a method wherein the magnetic metal fine particles, the surface of which is covered by straight- chain type fatty acid or its delivetive, are dispersed into a solvent. CONSTITUTION:A vacuum vessel 1 is evacuated to 1X10<-6> Torr or thereabout, and a substrate 5 is heated up to the prescribed temperature using the heater 4 which is built-in in a substrate holder 3. Then, vapor-deposition is conducted simultaneously on a hurse 7 containing straight-chain type fatty acid or its delivetive, and a hurse 8 containing a magnetic material while the substrate 5 is being rotated. Said vapor deposition is conducted by opening and closing a shutter 6, also a KBr crystal plate is used for the substrate 5, the temperature is set at 80 deg.C, oleic acid soda is used as an organic substance, and Co95Cr3 is used for a ferromagnetic material. Through these procedures, an aggregate in which spherical particles 11 are separated with one another by an organic substance 10, can be obtained on a substrate 9 as shown in the diagram. |
