In torches (1) fitted with an electric bulb (lamp) (2) in the shape of a bar or a U, surrounded by a translucent casing (19) and fixed in a socket (4) by means of a cap (3), the socket (4) is sealed, in conjunction with an electrical or electronic ballast (9), in a cap casing (6). The cap casing (6) is connected, at its open front face, to a substantially cylindrical cover (19) enclosing the bulb (2). According to the present invention, the cover (19) is screwed into a projection, fitted with an internal screw thread, of the casing (6), the casing (6) and the cover (19) being connected together in a water- and dust-tight manner by an O-ring seal (24), and the bulb (2) being held by a retention clamp (14) tightened using two radial tightening tongues (18) between the casing (6) and the cover (19). … <IMAGE> … |
