<p>PURPOSE:To reduce measuring error and secure the degree of freedom in mounting by furnishing a draft resistance giving means or a dispersing means between an air flow meter and a flow control device, and thereby suppressing influence upon the air flow meter measuring part of varying rate-of-flow distribution due to the suction flow control. CONSTITUTION:A draft resistance giving means of mesh screen or honeycomb structure etc., or a draft dispersing means 500, is provided between an air flow meter 400 and an air flow control device 600. The suction air inhaled through an air cleaner 1 is taken in an engine cylinder 12 via an air duct 3, air flow meter 400, draft resistance giving means 500, throttle valve 601, throttling device 600, and suction manifold 11. In the air flow meter 400, the air converges upon passing two lines, i.e. a main path 402 and an auxiliary path 403, and passes through a metal mesh screen 501 to disperse so that the pressure distribution becomes uniform. Then this air flows into the throttling device 600. This prevents generation of measurement error in the air flow meter 400.</p> |
