The sawing machine includes a framework (2) on which is mounted a set of parallel circular saws (12) connected to means (30) for rotational drive about one and the same axis, a piece holder device (8) which includes a support element (54) on which a plurality of pieces (56) to be sawn are fastened with the aid of a binder (58) and an advancement device (6) allowing the saws (12) and the support element (54) to be brought closer to one another. According to the invention, the support element (54) has the configuration of a cylinder, and the sawing machine furthermore comprises means (74) for driving the said support element (54) about its axis. <IMAGE>
