<p>PURPOSE:To detect a synchronization pattern accurately even when a t-bit bit error is in existence in an input signal by discriminating it that the synchronization pattern is detected when an input pattern whose hamming distance with respect to a reference synchronization is (t) or below. CONSTITUTION:A reproduced data bit stream DB is fed to an input terminal of a slice register 7. A hamming distance calculation circuit 14 calculates a hamming distance doj between a reference synchronization pattern So of a replica register 10 and a slice data Sj of the slice register 7 and the result is fed to a detection discrimination circuit 15, which generates a signal J going to a high level '1' when the hamming distance doj satisfies the relation of doj<=t (t is number of allowed bit errors) and going to a low level '1' when the hamming distance doj exceeds (t) and the signal J is fed to one input terminal of an AND circuit 17.</p> |
