<p>PURPOSE:To facilitate the replacement and to perform the correct fitting, by locating one of two pins provided at both ends of a base at the central part of the base. CONSTITUTION:A base 3 is soldered to the end 2 of a fluorescent lamp 1, where the external lead is inserted through the base pins 4, 5 of the base 3 and connected conductively through the brazing at the tip. One of said two pins 4, 5 is provided at the central portion of the base while the other pin 5 is located near the circumference of the base. Said base pins 4, 5 are fixed through insulation boards 6, 7 respectively to the base. Consequently when inserting the base pin located at the central portion of the base into the central hole of a socket, correct contact between said two pins and the contact chip of the socket can be maintained regardless of the direction of the lamp.</p> |
