PURPOSE:To obtain a thermal recording medium having high coloring properties, humidity/heat resistance and the ability to protect against a fingerprint by specifying the combination of 1,4-bis(p-methylbenzyloxy methyl) benzene and a developer. CONSTITUTION:A thermal recording medium formed on a support is a thermal recording medium having a thermal coloring layer which contains a colorless or a pale leuco compound and a developer which develops a color in contact with the leuco compound. The medium also/contains either one of 4-hydroxy-4'- isopropyloxydiphenylsulfone, 2-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-2-(3'-hydroxyphenyl)propane or bis(4-hydroxyphenyl)acetic acid-n-butyl, as a developer and 1, 4-bis(p- methylpenzyloxymethyl) benzene as a coloring promoter. Thus it is possible to obtain a thermal recording medium capable of high coloring properties and meeting the high stability properties of a recording part without a texture fog, if the medium is preserved under high temperature or high humidity conditions. |
