PURPOSE:To prevent fastening elements from being damaged, by issuing an engine output power lowering instruction when it is determined that a shift solenoid is abnormal. CONSTITUTION:When it is judged that a shift solenoid (c) is abnormal, an engine output torque control section (f) in an electronic speed shift control means (d) delivers an engine output power lowering instruction. Accordingly, even though the shift solenoid (c) is abnormal so as to fix a transmission at a speed shift position other than a first speed position, it is possible to restrain such an action that excessive torque is exerted to various fastening elements at the speed shift position during start without insuring an increase in load to the fastening elements. Accordingly, it is possible to prevent the fastening elements from being damaged upon abnormality of the shift solenoid even with a low cost device which is not protected from an increase in load to the fastening elements and shocks upon speed shift operation. |
