PURPOSE:To make the speed of the radio channel switching process of a movable radio communication system faster while the system is used for communication by making the inform signal sending timing to a control station faster as the movable station approaches a radio base station and causing the control station to select the base station which sends the inform signal at the fastest timing as the moving destination of the movable station. CONSTITUTION:A movable radio communication system is composed of a control station 1, radio base stations 2a-2c, and a movable station 6 and the control station 1 is connected with an exchange network. The radio base station 2a is constituted of a control station 3, a monitoring receiver 4, and transmitter-receivers 5-1-5-n. Each radio base station 2a-2c divides its own communication area in multiple stages and sets higher level values as approaching the center of the communication area. When the movable station 6 enters the communication areas of the base stations 2a-2c, the stations 2a/2c send inform signals to the control station 1 in such a way that the sending timing becomes faster as the movable 6 approaches the communication area of higher level values and the control station 1 connects the movable station 6 with the base station which sends the inform signal at the fastest timing for radio communication. Therefore, the switching process of radio channels can be made quickly while the system is used for communication. |
