The device is used for cutting or cleaning rock or other material. It uses an accelerated water jet which is forced through a nozzle and has flexible feed lines for air and water. The centre piece of the nozzle (7), which, together with the mouth piece (8), forms a mixing chamber (18), has split nozzles on its outer rim which discharge directly into the flow channel (19). The air line in the flow channel (19) with tangential directional flow occurs in such a way that the steady cross sectional decrease of the flow formed by the body of the nozzle (1) and the centre piece (7) steadily accelerates the air flow likewise. There is a compression and mixing region (21) leading to a narrow air and water exit channel (22). USE/ADVANTAGE - A self regulating high pressure jet of water for cutting and cleaning rock or other material.
