The subject of the invention is an arrangement by which a slide rail 5a, 5b is fitted in a roof, and the sliding rail's slide device 20 is fixed to a sliding plate, in particular a glass plate 15. The arrangement enables simple and precise fitting of the sliding rail and glass to be effected, also simple operation of the glass plates upwards and sideways. The fixing arrangement for the sliding rail comprises a support plate 7 and a sliding rail section 5a, 5b split longitudinally into two parts, in the upper part of which rail is a section pocket 9, and in the lower part flanges 11 supporting the slide device. The arrangement for fixing the slide device 20 to the glass plate 15 comprises a suspension board 18 in which the glass plate's glass mouldings 16a, 16b are arranged to hang, and which has two fixed suspension bolts 19 which are fitted into an internally-threaded hollow 22 in the centre of the slide device. <IMAGE>
