<p>PURPOSE:To convert a signal converted into an MUS signal at an accurate aspect ratio by switching a mode cutting off both sides corresponding to a decoded signal with a mode converting at the accurate aspect ratio. CONSTITUTION:In a decode circuit 23, the existence of an upconvert signal is read out among control signals superimposed into an MUSE signal. When the upconvert signal is inputted, a switch is changed to cut off the both sides, and a picture which is converted to the whole screen of the aspect ratio 4:3 is displayed. In the case the upconvert signal is not inputted, the switch can be changed arbitrarily between a changeover zoom up mode (b) and a wide mode (c). Thus, when the signal of the aspect ratio 4:3 is converted to a high-fidelity television signal and the signal converted to the MUSE signal is inputted, the conversion of the accurate aspect ratio to this can be executed.</p> |
